character encoding problem

I am using the API with Perl and the  SOAP-WSDL-2.00.10 module (from CPAN).  This module and my server uses utf8 encoding.

When I create a new debtor with ÆØÅ in the name then it goes wrong (funny characters gets inserted instead of ÆØÅ) so I suspect that your API expects a different encoding, is that correct? and which one?

Apparently the perl module sends: 'application/xml; charset: utf8' along in the header so is your API ignoring the header or simply not capeable of converting from utf8?

If I know what the API expects then I might be able to convert things.

as you can see here: https://api.e-conomic.com/secure/api1/EconomicWebService.asmx?op=Debtor_Create

the server follows the soap standard 1.2 and expecting application/soap+xml. Though I don't know much about perl, nor that extension module, I guess thats your problem
